CCC, CISLAC Forge Strategic Partnership on Crisis Management

The Centre for Crisis Communications (CCC) and the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) have established a strategic partnership aimed at bolstering crisis communication and management efforts in Nigeria.

The collaboration was forged during a courtesy visit by the CCC delegation, led by Chairman Major General Chris Olukolade (Rtd), to the CISLAC office in Abuja.

During the visit, Alhaji Yusha’u Shu’aib, the CCC’s Media Consultant, delivered a comprehensive briefing that highlighted the major achievements of the centre.

He emphasized CCC’s pivotal role in crisis communication and management, showcasing its numerous successful interventions and strategic initiatives.

Shu’aib’s presentation provided a clear picture of the CCC’s capabilities and its significant impact on national security.

Major General Olukolade (Rtd) elaborated on the centre’s activities and the potential synergies that could be developed between CCC and CISLAC.

He articulated the value of combining CCC’s extensive experience in security and crisis management with CISLAC’s robust advocacy and legislative influence.

“The CCC, a non-governmental organization, aims to strengthen ties with CISLAC,” Olukolade explained.

He also noted that the CCC has a proven track record of training over 500 information personnel across various services, further underscoring its expertise and capacity.

The CCC delegation was warmly received by the CISLAC team, led by Senior Program Officer Solomon Adoga, along with Ayo Omowu, Murtala Muhammed, Programme Officer for Health and Human Development, and Bathshebaba Tagwai, Senior Legal Officer.

CISLAC’s team commended the CCC for its notable achievements and expressed eagerness to establish a strong partnership.

They acknowledged the centre’s strategic interventions and its role in providing critical support during times of national emergencies.

CISLAC’s representatives highlighted their own organizational strengths and the potential benefits of a partnership that leverages both entities’ expertise.

They further underscored the importance of forging good working relationship with the CCC, given its extensive experience and reputable track record in crisis communication.

They expressed their readiness to collaborate closely with the CCC, recognizing that such a partnership would significantly contribute to the advancement of their mutual goals.

Established nine years ago, CCC is a non-governmental organization dedicated to enhancing crisis information and communication management in Nigeria.

The Centre engages in training and capacity building, research and documentation, public sensitization campaigns, and media reviews.

It has a rich history of collaborating with military, security, intelligence, and response agencies to ensure effective communication strategies are in place.
